Wildlife

This year at Trenarth we  have tried to bring  some new friends into the garden, and with some success (hawk moth and others). This as been great fun and, with help from our friendly moth man,  we became proud moth parents.

The rest of the year has seen its usual visitors – Canada Geese letting us know spring is on its way as they rest in the field on their long journey and on there return bringing cold winds in their song.

An owl appeared on our fence, to the chicken begging them to come out to play.  Poor chicken as I have seen sparrow hawks and buzzards showing interest too. We also have badgers and foxes competing who can make the biggest mess to take away.

My favourite thing of all is when the first shadow of the first swallow swooping in to find the best spot to settle for the summer.
